Ministries

 
Caregiver's Ministry

To provide the opportunity for the delivery of pastoral care, support and nurture to all members of the Congregation - to facilitate training programmes for equipping elders, caregivers, and groups leaders in discipleship for active involvement in the life and ministry of the Church

Coordination, train and review the performance of elders, nurture programmers, pastor care and support

 
Christian Education

This area of ministry aims at teaching the Word of God to children, youth and adults and providing opportunities for discussion of the practical application of biblical principles. Areas of responsibility include Church (Sunday) School, Young Church, Family Enrichment and Couples Ministry, Vacation Bible School, Library and Bookstall and lecture presentations on issues of relevance to the society and the Christian faith.

 
Social Services Ministry

The provision of health care, outreach, education and counselling is among the priority areas of ministry for Webster Memorial. These services are offered in response to the needs of the community. These are currently available through:

  • The Eden Garden Social Services Centre which operates a Medical clinic
  • The Rolph Grant Senior Citizens Home
  • The Webster Infant Centre
  • The Information Technology Project launched on Webster's 60th anniversary in 2001

 
Evangelism

Webster Memorial actively pursues spiritual and numerical growth through evangelism and church growth. This area of ministry covers Praise and Worship/Bible Study/ Evening Services, Spiritual Reflections, visitation, crusades, discipleship training programmes, Cradle Roll (newborn) ministry, Membership Guidance (guiding visitors into full membership), hospitality ministry.

 
Youth

To facilitate the spirtiual development of the various Youth Auxiliaries, to provide opportunities for Christian Fellowship, to support our young as they journey to maturity and to incorporate the youth into the life and witness of the Church.

 
Young Adults
 
Men's Fellowship

To foster and develop a spirit of brotherhood among the men of the church and by extension seek to establish a sense of purpose among the youth, providing assistance in education, mentoring for the Boy's Brigade. The Men's Fellowship will play an active role in the upkeep and maintenance of the Church and its surroundings.

 
Women's Fellowship

To unite the women of the church in the dedication of their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ for the service and extension of His Kingdom and to seek to widen the fellowship among all women in the congregation and community.

 
Roplh Grant Senior Citizens Home

To provide acceptable board and logging for senior citizens who are in relatively good health and have the ability to sponsor themselves or with the assistance of relatives.

 
Planning and Communication

This ministry area facilitates the work of other areas by identifying and implementing appropriate communication strategies, which promote the increased understanding, interest and involvement of the membership in the life and work of the church.

 
Stewardship

This area mobilises the human and financial resources of the church to carry out its mission. The areas of responsibility include data gathering, training and preservation of records.

 
Twinning

Webster Memorial initiates and participates in partnership relationships with churches locally, regionally and internationally in order to foster fellowship, understanding and action through mission.
